The museum of the country of Guérande

Created in 1928, the Guérande museum organizes a temporary exhibition every year in the Saint-Michel gate.

Labeled as a Musée de France since 1981, the Musée du Pays de Guérande is dedicated to gathering collections of history, arts and popular traditions.

The collections mainly include:

• The famous furniture of the salt marsh, whose particularity is the red color, the furniture of Guérande as well as those of the Brière.
• Period costumes (weddings, parties and mourning)
• Weapons and souvenirs of the National Guard of Guérande
• Earthenware, headdresses and wedding globes.
